It has been 15 years since I joined the Kaneko International Patent Office, which is the former company of Shinmei Century. I am grateful for the continued business from our many clients. The purposes of intellectual property for each client are different for each industry. It is different depending on the scale, even within the same industry. It also changes depending on the time. We work together with all of our staff, including patent attorneys, engineering and administration staff with a constant thought of what our clients are looking for, with intellectual property in mind, from the stage of discovery of the invention, and with our mission of achieving the purposes for the intellectual property of our clients.

We have a total support system, from the discovery of the invention, to the utilization, and the defense of rights. In this case, if we don’t have a solid base with the right system, nothing can be done to defend our rights against an attack from other company utilizing their rights. We value this fundamental, from application, to establishment of rights, to the nurture each application one by one in a careful manner, treating them like our own children. We believe that to work faithfully, with foolishly honest is the most important service we should provide to our client.

Inventors have a variety of information. I utilize my experience with development and design of products in corporations to distill and create inventions as we organize the various information that inventors have.

We aim to create specifications so that the patent we obtain is useful for their intended purposes, as the purposes of the patent application differs for each case. The end goal is not just to achieve the improvement of invention extraction and techniques for creating the specification and improving of services. We provide services which we improve every day, and the service we provide is our best every day.

I try to understand each client’s desire to acquire patents and endeavor to deal with them empathically. I make an effort to understand things by studying the industry of our client as much as I can, and not simply accepting suggestions from our client without question. I also try to experience and use the client’s products at times, which will help me to understand and know the how the client ended up with the invention.

I strive and work to meet our customer’s requests, by freely displaying youth and by utilizing a fresh take and strong body.
